As a kid, Love always amused me

How could people decide their partners to be?

Love & companionship, I considered symptoms of insanity,

Saying to myself, finding the right one for me would take eternity.

While other girls dreamt of love stories,

Beneath m books, I had my own worries.

Then one fine day you entered my world,

And my heart ,it just curled.

You gave me everything that my life was lacking,

Care, affection, letters , flowers and even the singing.

Love stories and movies no longer seemed absurd,

Soon I realised I was no longer the nerd.

Happiness and Love became my best friends

Long conversations, lunches and coffees became the latest trends

My life was filled with loving people who welcomed me with open arms

It was all because of you and your lovely charms.

With time my love for you deepened,

How time flew by, we were stunned.

Your voice, your face, your smile

Became my lifeline after a while.

Bad times and fights we had plenty

Sometime we laughed over them, sometimes got senti.

School, college, job we crossed many phases

Finding the right course, college and job we had our own chases.

But one thing always remained the same,

Whenever I needed you, I just had to call your name.

Your undying support and love kept us strong,

Supporting each other in every right and wrong.

You’re my drug, my support system, my addiction

Without you I would be lost in confusion.

I love the way you always find me beautiful,

Even when I look ugly and dull.

Your sill jokes, your killer looks,

Have made me completely forgotten my books.

I am falling short of words to tell you how much you mean to me,

It s a feeling you can’t explain or see.

I just wish this bond lasts forever,

And we are together no matter we go wherever.

I love you, that is all I want to say

And in my heart you will forever stay.
